Interactive water games for the International Garden Festival in Chaumont-sur-Loire

Hopscotch creates a unique world chalked on school yard pavement or city streets. Little children hop from square to square, in hope of reaching the finish. Since the game was first played, children are drawn to this imaginary space that lefts them briefly escape reality, at least until gravity pulls them back to earth. In Chaumont, a water version of this game was created, rendering a fantasy world where hopscotch was played out on an idyllic pont.  When children landed on a square, a range of effects played, transporting children between poetry and astonishment, symbolism and dreams. Each child created their own water world depending on the way they played the game.
