The goal of this project was to vitalise the path leading to the school and link the building to the surrounding landscape by involving the wind. The path runs beside a natural garden and descends along a series of steps that follow the slope of the hill, as if it is a walk through the hillside that brings you to the building. The project was created to be an artistic installation, an opportunity to play, and a teaching tool.

The installation features a dial connected to a weather vane that constantly indicates the direction of the wind. Depending on the wind direction, the arrow points to discs of different colors which can then be matched to tiles inserted in the steps that lead down to the school. When you descend the stairs, you can match the tile to the weather vane and discover the direction the wind is blowing and the Provençal name for the wind.
